An advocate for the best learning opportunities for students. A community stakeholder who goes above and beyond to create experiences for families with schools. A relationship builder who develops an empowering connection with all she meets. These are just a few of the ways that Mrs. Joana Farias has made a difference on the Gallardo campus. She is our PTO President, a mom, and an outstanding member of the Gallardo. Mrs. Farias is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students, providing them with experiences that they will cherish, and getting families and community more involved with Gallardo. She is a member of our Community and Family Engagement (CAFE) committee. She has been heavily engaged in providing opportunities that unite families and the community with the school. These include our Veterans Ceremony, Holiday Bingo, Literature Parade, and so much more. Her efforts with PTO have shown appreciation for our students and staff in many ways. We are beyond grateful for Mrs. Farias. She is a phenomenal mom, community advocate, and Gallardo leader.
When you walk into room 118, you will immediately be stopped by Aaron Rios. He will inform you of the classroom culture, the expectations that must be signed by all who agree to be in the classroom, and what the class is working on. Aaron is a hardworking and caring second grader in Ms. Freidberg’s class. He is ready to help his classmates when in need politely and encouragingly. When he sees a classmate upset, he shows care and attention to the needs of his peers. He loves all subjects, but science is one of his favorites. He is passionate about hands-on activities such as labs and sees the fun in all he does. Congratulations, Aaron, and keep up the great work!
