Kayla Alcala is a 5th grade student at Gallardo. Kayla loves to read and she can always be found carrying a hardcover novel. Whenever she has a spare moment in class, she reads and works on her AR points. She sees reading as important to her development as a student, but it also opens her up to different perspectives and interests. Kayla is a kind and thoughtful friend. She cares for her friends and is very helpful during group projects.
