She had students make very cool “living necklaces”, which were tiny zip lock bags, with a wet cotton ball and a seed inside, hanging on a string. Students placed them around their necks and wore them for the rest of the day. Students who are patient will end up with a plant to care for in a few days! Students loved their living necklaces! a former AG teacher who taught students for 28 years before working with the Southwest Dairy Farmers, so he knows a thing or two about agriculture and livestock! He want
ed to teach our students about the dairy cattle industry, so he brought along his assistant, Dottie, who happens to be a dairy cow! Mr. Braneke taught the students about Dottie, and spoke to them about what it takes to care for dairy cattle and how we benefit from the dairy industry. He answered questions from students, and even showed them how cows are milked. The students really enjoyed their visit with Mr. Braneke and Dottie.
