MARATHON KIDS UPDATE:

The Freedom Marathon Kids are at it again! Coach Mendez applied for a grant from the National Marathon Kids Organization and she was recently informed that she won!  She has received funds for 17 runners to participate in the program.  Each runner will receive gifts from Nike, and a Marathon Kids T-shirt!  Congratulations, Coach Mendez!  Thanks to you, the Marathon Club is up and RUNNING!!

We appreciate our Child Nutrition Program employees!

Freedom celebrated Food Service Appreciation Day last week. Students and staff showed their appreciation for our Child Nutrition Program workers by giving them goodie bags full of treats.  The goodie bags were presented to the workers by grateful Freedom students!  Thank you to all of our Food Service personnel!!

Celebrating A Very Special Birthday!!

Freedom Principal, Thomasina Montaña,  recently celebrated a milestone birthday!  Freedom teachers and staff decided to show their appreciation for Ms. Montaña by dressing 80’s style.  Very Cool!!

National Bully Prevention Month

October is National Bully Prevention month.
A message from our counselor,  Brenda Barajas:
I will be working with our students through various lessons and activities to promote a Bully-Free Environment. To help kick off the month we are asking that students wear an orange shirt on Monday, Oct. 2nd.  Thank You!

Scholastic Book Fair!! October 16th-20th

Our Fall Scholastic Book Fair-This is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.
