The Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade was a huge success! The parade was held inside this year, due to the rainy weather, but that did not stop the students and faculty from having a great time! The Royal Court was introduced to our visitors in the gym before walking the halls of Freedom. The Court was made up of the top money-raisers in our Jump Rope for Heart activity which is held every year. The proceeds from this fundraiser go to the American Heart Association. The rest of the parade consisted of beautifully-decorated Fiesta-themed shoe box floats from all grade levels at Freedom, as well as students who added to the excitement of the parade by carrying Cinco de Mayo, Spurs, Cowboys, & Dr. Seuss signs and banners. Thank you to Mrs. Barajas who was in charge of this event, and thank you to everyone who helped make this parade a very enjoyable one. Thank you also to the parents and visitors who came to see the parade. Everyone enjoyed the exciting confetti-filled morning!
