Parents can...
- Support your child’s teacher in their online instruction
- Establish a predictable routine or schedule for your child’s day
- Set home expectations for how to behave throughout the day
- Establish the workspace for your child to use for studying and online learning
- Confirm with the teacher the method of participation your child will use for online instruction (use of video, chat room, microphone, cell phone, etc.)
- Monitor communications from your child’s teacher and school
- Encourage and praise your child for doing his/her work
- Be mindful of your child’s wellbeing
- Provide positive feedback when your child is Being a Cardinal
Teachers will…
- Teach students the new skills and expectations for a virtual learning space
- Be prepared to provide instruction
