Information For New Students

Southside ISD Enrollment & Registration Process

There are several documents that will be required in order to begin our enrollment and registration process. We also strongly encourage you to register online to speed up the process. A notary will be on site for parents/legal guardian who need documents notarized.

Follow these steps for a simple enrollment process:

Step 1: Parents/Legal Guardian should visit the Student Registration center Please bring all required documents. (Appointments are strongly encouraged!)
Step 2: The Students Registration Center staff will enroll the student at the appropriate campus and forward child’s records to the school.
Step 3: Registration process is complete student reports to assigned campus. High School and Middle School students must be scheduled to meet with a campus counselor before attending classes.


Step 1

Parents/Legal Guardian should visit the Student Registration center Please bring all required documents.  Documents that will be requested when enrolling students:

  • Certified copy of the student’s Birth Certificate
  • State required Immunization
  •  Student’s Social Security Card
  • Parent/Proof of Identification
  • Custody/Guardianship Paperwork (if applicable)
  • Withdrawal Form from the previous school (if applicable)
  • Last Report Card (if applicable)
  • Student’s Transcript for all High School Students
  • Proof of Residency

If you rent: Current lease agreement and current utility bill or connection receipt. Utility bills must be no more than 30 days old, and not indicate disconnection or pending disconnection. Both the lease agreement and utility bill in the parent or legal guardian’s name.

If you own: Current mortgage statement or tax bill and current utility or connection receipt. Utility bills must be, no more than 30 days old, and not indicate disconnection or pending disconnection.

Multi-Family Residence Form: If you are living with another family the Host form must be signed by the homeowner or lease, and notarized. A current lease agreement, mortgage statement or tax bill must be provided by the homeowner along with a current utility bill or connection receipt. Utility bills, no more than 30 days old, and not indicate disconnection or pending disconnection.

Step 2

The Students Registration Center staff will enroll the student at the appropriate campus and forward child’s records to the school.

Enrollment staff will review and file legal documentation of each child (birth certificates, proof of residence, etc). Students will not be able to attend school until this process and receipt of all required documents have been completed.
