will be holding a Public Meeting to discuss the FY ending
2022-2023 Financial Integrity Rating System of
Texas (F.I.R.S.T.) Report. Meeting will be held on

MISSION STATEMENT
The Southside ISD Business Office is committed to providing transparent financial information in an easily accessible format that is clear and meaningful to our community. Financial transparency is achieved through summaries, visualizations and downloadable data as well as other relevant financial information.
The Southside ISD Business Office directs and manages accounts, budgets, district finances, materials management(purchasing), and Payroll processing.

GOALS
To provide excellent customer service to all Southside ISD campuses, departments, and vendors. To ensure applicable Southside ISD Board policies, guidelines, and standardized operational and financial procedures governing the management and use of activity funds are communicated effectively to campus staff. SISD Business office shall ensure compliance with district policies, guidelines and procedures, and the Texas Education Agency’s Financial Accountability System Resource Guide; thereby, increasing accountability of activity funds and enhancing the trust of students, parents, and the public we serve.
PURPOSE
The primary responsibility of the Business Office is to assist all Southside ISD campuses in the daily operation and maintenance of their respective business operations, which includes ensuring the proper collections, disbursement, and controls of activity funds.
The Business Department provides training on activity fund guidelines and procedures; district approved accounting practices with applicable board policies. The Business Office is responsible for maintaining and updating the district’s Activity Funds Manual, Sponsor/Staff Handbook, and all activity funds forms. The Business Office offers one-on-one training for campus personnel and develops training content for sponsor/staff training while providing daily assistance with inquiries related to business operations.
