The Southside Mighty Cardinal Band competed in their annual UIL Solo & Ensemble contest. The band had a total of 31 students who earned a 1st division rating earning a gold metal! Students at Southside ISD’s Gallardo Elementary participated in a city-wide Heroes for Health event on Thursday, March 19, 2015. Congratulations to Perla Aguirre who earned 5th place at the State BPA Leadership Conference last weekend in Dallas Texas! She qualifies to compete at the National BPA Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California.  Also earning top ranking was Almira Torres, 10th place in Fundamental Accounting.
