Electing Trustees to the Board of Trustees for the following positions:
Election Day: May 6, 2023

Position 1: 4 Year Term
Position 2: 4 Year Term
Position 4: 2 Year Term
Position 6: 4 Year Term
Position 7: 4 Year Term

Applications can be submitted from January 18, 2023 through February 17, 2023. (5:00 p.m.)

Candidate Eligibility

Eligibility for Public Office (TEC Section 141.001)

  • US Citizen
  • 18 years of age or older
  • No final judgment indicating:
    • Totally mentally incapacitated or
    • Partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote
  • No final felony conviction
    • Unless pardoned or released from resulting disabilities
    • NOTE: NEW LAW (HB 455,2021 Reg. Session): If pardoned or released from the resulting disabilities, then must provide proof of the pardon or release.
  • *Resided continuously in the state for 12 months
  • *Resided continuously in the territory for 6 months.
  • *Registered voter of the territory

NOTE: *Some offices have exclusive eligibility requirements, some laws are only partially conflicting, and for some offices all of Section 141.001 applies. Review the Candidate's guide to determine the qualifications for the office a candidate has filed for.

Candidate Filing Period

January 18th, 2023 to February 17th, 2023

Central Office Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30 p.m.

Application must be received by Friday, February 17th, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

Elegibilidad del candidato

Elegibilidad para Cargo Público (TEC Sección 141.001)

  • Ciudadano estadounidense
  • 18 años de edad o más
  • Sin sentencia firme que indique:
    • Totalmente incapacitado mentalmente o
    • Parcialmente incapacitado mentalmente sin derecho a voto
  • Sin condena definitiva por delito grave
    • A menos que sea perdonado o liberado de las discapacidades resultantes
    • NOTA: NUEVA LEY (HB 455,2021 Sesión Reg.): Si es indultado o liberado de las discapacidades resultantes, entonces debe proporcionar prueba del indulto o liberación.
  • *Residió continuamente en el estado durante 12 meses
  • *Residió de forma continua en el territorio durante 6 meses.
  • *Votante registrado del territorio.

NOTA: *Algunas oficinas tienen requisitos de elegibilidad exclusivos, algunas leyes solo están parcialmente en conflicto y para algunas oficinas se aplica toda la Sección 141.001. Revise la guía del candidato para determinar las calificaciones para el cargo que ha solicitado un candidato.

18 de enero de 2023 a 17 de febrero de 2023

Horario de la oficina central: lunes a viernes de 7:30 a.m. a 4:30 p.m.

La solicitud debe recibirse antes del viernes 17 de febrero de 2023 a las 5:00 p.m.
