On Tuesday, October 22, the Southside High School Varsity Girls Cross Country competed in the Region IV Regional Meet in Corpus Christi. Racing against a field of 183 runners SHS cross country team showcased their determination and resilience, finishing 18th out of 25 teams and outperforming several nearby competitors. A special congratulations to freshman, Emarald Aguirre, who placed 20th overall and earned her spot at the State Championship Meet on November 2nd at 10:45 a.m. in Round Rock, Texas.

The state meet will take place in Frisco, Texas on March 16th.

The Track and Field meet scheduled for Thursday, February 15th has been changed to Wednesday, February 14th per South San ISD.
