Southside Softball Athletes Selected for Summer All-Star Game

Southside ISD is proud to announce that two of our Southside High School softball athletes have been selected to participate in this summer’s All-Star Game. Congratulations to Jadelynn Uriegas and Jasmine Casias, who will both represent Team Navy in this exciting event.

Having two Southside athletes selected to compete alongside some of San Antonio’s top softball players is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the season.

The All-Star Game will take place on June 6 at Alamo Heights Stadium. We are incredibly proud of Jadelynn and Jasmine and look forward to cheering them on as they represent Southside with pride.

Southside High School Girls Finish Strong at Regional Track Meet

Congratulate all of the Southside High School athletes who competed this weekend, May 1st and 2nd. Despite challenging weather conditions on Friday, our students remained focused, prepared, and determined, finishing an outstanding track and field season with tremendous effort and sportsmanship.

Regional Qualifiers

  • Emarald Aguirre – 800m, 1600m, 3200m
  • Serenity Williams – 4×400 Relay
  • Kayla Padilla – 4×400 Relay
  • Bethany Iniguez – 800m, 4×400 Relay
  • Jayden Quiroga – Regional Finalist: 3rd Place in the 400m Dash, 7th Place in the 100m Dash, and member of the 4×400 Relay team

We would also like to extend special recognition to Jayden Quiroga for earning 3rd Place in the Region in the 400m Dash. This is an outstanding accomplishment, especially in such a highly competitive event where only the top two athletes advance to the State Meet. Jayden’s dedication, perseverance, and hard work were evident throughout the entire season, and we are incredibly proud of all she achieved.

Congratulations to all of our athletes and coaches on a successful season. We are grateful for the pride, determination, and excellence they displayed while representing our program all year long.

Emarald continues to represent the program with excellence both on the track and in the classroom. Her dedication, work ethic, and competitive spirit set the standard for what it means to be a student-athlete.

Southside Boys Track Excels at Area Meet, Advances Four to Regionals

Last Friday, April 17th, the Southside High School Boys Track Team delivered an outstanding performance at the Area Track Meet, with every athlete competing at a high level and representing our school with pride. The team brought home one Area Champion title, and four athletes earned spots at the Regional Meet.

Lady Cardinals Track Team Claims District Runner Up Title

The Southside High School Girls Varsity Track Team delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 110 points to earn the District 28-5A Team Runner-Up title! This achievement was a true team effort, with every athlete and coach playing a vital role in our success.
