These updates are to inform SISD employees during the COVID 19 Public Health Pandemic. SISD will aim to give all employees the latest information as it becomes available.

As of today, April 3, 2020, here are the latest updates:
- Board of Managers' next meeting is April 23rd at 6 pm.
- ALL STAFF: PER BUSINESS DEPARTMENT, THE PROCUREMENT PROCESS IS STILL IN EFFECT. ALTHOUGH CURRICULUM AND TECHNOLOGY NEEDS HAVE BEEN EXPEDITED TO DEAL WITH COVID-19, THIS DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE EXEMPT FROM POLICY AND PROCEDURES.
- HOURLY EMPLOYEES: CLICK HERE to access a sheet for any hourly employees that have been coming into work w/regards to COVID-19. We have asked that hourly employees enter time in TC by clocking in/out. However, we've found that not all hourly employees have been doing this. We would like to start paying these employees for these hours but need the correct information. If you have NOT clocked in/out due to not having access to TC, Please fill out the sheet and have your Director approve it and send it to debra.rodriguez@southsideisd.org, we will process accordingly.
- Academics & Technology: School is Back in Session - *Online and at home Only*
- Reports cards will be mailed out as scheduled.
- The SISD Technology Department began handing out new Chromebooks today. More than 850 have been requested. More technology is being ordered.
- The technology Hotline is up and running, call 210-882-1626 if you need help with a Chromebook.
- Hotspots for internet access have been ordered, when they arrive we will be contacting parents with request forms.
- Free Wifi Parking lot available for parents ONLY click here for more information.
- Texas Education Agency waived STARR Test.
- There is a new website. check it out southsideisd.org.
- Child Nutrition and Transportation - Heroes at Work!
- Meals will continue to be given out. The Transportation Dept. started delivering meals last week.
- Several companies are NOW offering free or discounted WiFi. Please share the news with the community. Here are some links:
- Schools are still closed through May 04, 2020.
- The SISD Police Department is staffed and helping out all over the district daily.
- Cancelations:
- 2020 SHS Prom has been canceled. Students are being contacted directly to receive refunds.
- The April 7th Bond Community meeting has been postponed.
- ALL UIL events have been Canceled or Postponed. Click here for a list of Cancelations.
- All Athletic and Extracurricular Practices at SISD have been canceled.
- Casino Night has been postponed for the Fall.
- During this time of school closures, the Human Resources office will assist employees on Mondays and/or Tuesdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for essential and time-sensitive matters. (examples include: Verification of Employment (VOE); Name Changes; Loan Forgiveness; Federal Assistance; Benefits; Leave and Certification, etc) by appointment only.

April 2020 Bi-weekly payroll will be on the 3rd and the 17th. Semi-monthly payroll will be on the 10th and the 24th. Staff, be aware that all employees of Southside ISD will continue to get paid through the COVID 19 pandemic and closures. However, be mindful the business office will continue to modify payroll delivery dates for your convenience.
