Southside High School junior Angel Ruiz has qualified and made it to state at the most recent Culinary Arts Skills Competition. This competition is one the most rigorous and skillful events our students participated in. We wish Angel the best of luck at the State Competition on April 3rd-6th.

The SHS Jazz Band performed in the Southwest Jazz Along the Medina Festival this past weekend. We are proud to report that the band earned a "first division" rating, and senior Kevin Sibson was named an "All-Star Jazz Musician." Way to go Mighty Cardinal Band!

On Saturday, February 17th, 2024 the Losoya Jazz Band participated in the Southwest Jazz Along the Medina Festival. They performed amongst a lineup of many other great jazz bands from the area. This Saturday the Southside High School Colorguard traveled to Hays High School, competing in their second show in the Texas Color Guard Circuit.
