Congratulations to the Matthey Middle School BBQ teams for their outstanding performance at the Texas MSBBQ State Competition held Saturday at Burnet High School in Burnet, TX! Our students showed tremendous hard work, dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit throughout the competition.
A special congratulations to two of our teams for earning Top 10 Overall finishes among middle school teams across the state:
5th Place Overall – Cardinal Q Crew
Team Members: Viviana Marines, Mia Montelongo, Luis Mendez, Sophia Navarro, and Angel Perez
7th Place Overall – Smokin Texas Steel
Team Members: Georgio Chavez, Zane De Jesus, Madison Garza, Joseph Ross, and Romani Ruiz
All six of the Matthey BBQ teams earned invitations to compete at Nationals this June in The Colony, TX! Congratulations to all of our students and coaches on an amazing season so far.
