Southside ISD is proud to share that Director of Purchasing, Daniel Garza, was invited to present at the Bexar County Small Business & Entrepreneurship Department’s annual Business Conference, held December 10 at the Freeman Expo Hall.
With nearly 4,000 small, minority, woman, and veteran-owned businesses in attendance, the conference is one of the largest events of its kind in the region. Mr. Garza was selected to teach three sessions on an important topic: How to Compete in Public Sector Procurement.
Throughout the day, he guided participants through the essentials of public purchasing, including how to understand and respond to different types of formal solicitations. His workshops provided practical insights, best practices, and step-by-step explanations of the most commonly used procurement methods—valuable knowledge for businesses hoping to work with public agencies.
We are proud to have Southside ISD represented on such a significant platform and grateful for the expertise Mr. Garza continues to share both within our district and across the community.
