This important proclamation highlights the crucial role that regular school attendance plays in student success. It also reinforces the shared responsibility of families, schools, and the community in promoting strong attendance habits.
By bringing attention to this issue, the City aims to reduce chronic absenteeism and ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. At Southside ISD, we believe that every day matters.
As part of this citywide initiative, Southside ISD was invited to attend the City Council meeting for the official reading of the proclamation. Alongside other local districts, we are committed to creating a culture of consistent attendance and academic achievement.
