Southside ISD kicked off the new school year with a record-breaking turnout at the 2025 Back to School Bash, held Thursday, July 24th at Southside High School. More than 3,000 students, families, and community members came together for an evening filled with free resources, school spirit, and community connection.
This annual event is one of Southside ISD’s largest family engagement initiatives, created to help ensure every student is ready to start the year confident and equipped. Families were able to access school supply giveaways, student vaccines, free haircuts, health screenings, hygiene items, and on-site student registration support. Attendees also enjoyed food, music, games, and a variety of fun, family-friendly activities throughout the evening.
Over 40 local partners and organizations participated in the event, turning the Southside High School campus into a vibrant hub of support and celebration. Their presence and contributions helped bring a sense of excitement and preparedness to families across the district.
The event also served as a Texas Hill Country Donation Site, expanding the reach of support to students across the region.
As the school year begins, the 2025 Back to School Bash is a reminder of what’s possible when schools, families, and community partners come together. Southside ISD is proud to lead with purpose, connection, and care, giving every student the opportunity to start strong and succeed.
