Stop by Pearce Elementary for the next Medicaid and CHIP application and renewal meeting on May 13th between 8:30 am to 1 pm. Applications can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, so be sure to have all your documents ready.
WellPoint representatives joined us on April 15th at Gallardo Elementary, where they assisted six families through the complicated TX benefits healthcare applications.
“I was so glad to see the representatives here [at Southside], I didn’t want to make the trip to the benefits office,” says mom, Ana Munoz.
The WellPoint representatives are Certified Health Navigators (CHN) for Texas Health and can guide families who qualify for state benefits through the application process. By applying with the help of CHN’s many families hear back on the status of the application anywhere between one day to two weeks.
