Pedaling Toward Possibility: Adaptive Bike Empowers Southside Student

Southside ISD student John S., who has use of only his hands, received a specially designed hand-pedaled bike—opening up a whole new world of mobility and joy. Riding alongside him was Andrew McAlister, founder of the Believe It Foundation and a successful adult living with cerebral palsy. This powerful moment highlighted the impact of perseverance and possibility, as John was able to safely ride a bike for the first time giving him the chance to join in the fun alongside his peers.

More than just physical activity, this moment was about building confidence, fostering inclusion, and inspiring hope. With the right support, tools, and role models, Southside students are discovering just how high they can soar.
