Cadet Major Leonor Reyes Earns Outstanding Cadet Award from SAR at State-Level Competition

This past Saturday, March 29th, Deputy Commander, Cadet Major Leonor Reyes was officially awarded the Outstanding Cadet Award from the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) State Committee in Dallas, Texas. The Outstanding Cadet Award is designed to recognize cadets in their junior year of high school for their achievements and potential for future success. It recognizes leadership qualities, military bearing, merit in patriotism, scholarship, citizenship, and general excellence, fostering the principle of “citizen-soldier.” Leo first competed and won at the San Antonio SAR Chapter-level which included 49 high schools across all military branches. Then she competed and won at the state-level against the 40 other SAR chapters. Next stop for Leo is the National-level.
