On January 28th, Pearce Elementary invited Chef Louis Crompton from the SA Food Bank for a fun and engaging evening. Chef Louis spent the evening demonstrating how to prepare a wholesome Chicken Burrito Bowl, plus shared tips and suggestions.
Throughout the evening, Chef Louis provided helpful tips on a variety of topics. He guided participants on the proper techniques for cutting vegetables and safely handling knives, ensuring everyone could practice the same recipe at home. He also recommended healthy food substitutions for individuals with diabetes and other food aversions making the recipe accessible to any diet.
Join us for the next Family Food Series event at the Pearce Elementary Cafeteria set for March 25th. Chef Louis will be back to show another great recipe. Parents will also have the opportunity to take home a sample of the dish prepared during the demonstration!
