Southside ISD is thrilled to kick off its fourth year of Intramural Sports for Little Cardinals! With soccer season now in full swing at Pearce, Gallardo, Heritage, and Freedom Elementary, students have an exciting opportunity to compete in various sports and showcase their skills. These intramural programs not only promote physical activity but also emphasize the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship among participants. “Playing intramurals gives our students the opportunity to view physical activity as exciting and enjoyable,” said Ruby Castaneda Coach/Teacher at Pearce Elementary. “It also creates bonds of friendship between students who would not have otherwise played together.” This initiative aims to foster a sense of community and belonging, encouraging students to develop a lifelong love for sports and physical fitness.
