The American Heart Association, in partnership with the SWBC Foundation, provides Southside ISD with CPR in Schools Training Kits, valued at over $2,000.
This comprehensive kit is designed to teach Hands-Only CPR, an essential skill for handling sudden cardiac emergencies. Given that our community’s bystander CPR rate is currently around 36%, this training is crucial for improving preparedness and potentially saving lives.
The CPR in Schools Training Kit comes complete with all the resources needed to train students, faculty, and staff in Hands-Only CPR, making it possible to educate youth as young as 9 years old. With the generous support of the SWBC Foundation and the American Heart Association, Southside ISD will significantly enhance its emergency preparedness and equip individuals across the district with these life-saving skills.
