Last weekend, 14 creative and talented Southside High School art students attended the TAEA Visual Arts Scholastic Event. They were interviewed about their artwork and the aesthetic choices they made. Then they are graded on a scale of 1-4, 4 being the highest. With hundreds of students across San Antonio, all 14 Southside students who attended received a gold medal rating of a 4. Out of all the work gold medal work our senior Allyson Cruz’s piece “Tea Party” will be advancing to the State level event!
