Alberto Ramirez is just in kindergarten at Menchaca Early Childhood Center, but he’s a young artist on the way up. This six-year old’s watercolor has been selected to hang at a State Capitol art show. The Texas Art Education Association selected Ramirez’ elaborate watercolor titled, “Kusama Rainbow Pumpkin” to hang in the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. Student art from more than 80 school districts are being shown this month. He is the only student artist selected from the Southside ISD. Alberto is a student in Mrs. Tyra Gonzales’ art class.
