Philanthropists Glenn and Kym Rapier Verette welcome Southside ISD students to their home

Mrs. Kym Rapier Verette, Glenn Verette, gather with Southside ISD's PR Director Randy Escamilla and students.

Southside ISD students made the trip of a lifetime on Thursday, December 9th in an effort to say “Thank you” to philanthropist Kym Rapier Verette and her husband. The 63 Southside ISD students performed for Glenn and Kym Rapier Verette and Mrs. Yolanda Valenzuela of Kym’s Angels Foundation. Mrs. Rapier Verette welcomed the students from Southside High School, Losoya Middle School, Matthey Middle School, and Pearce Elementary to her home.  The students’ hearts were filled with enthusiasm and gratitude as they sang, danced, and played their instruments. “You guys are awesome,” Glenn Verette said enthusiastically. The Southside ISD Education Foundation provided some early holiday gifts as a humble thank you for being a generous benefactor. Southside ISD is the only school district selected by Kym’s Angels Foundation to receive its generous funding. At the end of the performance, Mrs. Rapier Verette said, “Thank you all for being here. Thank you so much.” Students then cheered when Yolanda Valenzuela added, “Go Cardinals!”
