The excitement is real and the competition is fierce as Southside’s little Cardinals are now able to compete on the field, in the gym, and on the track. Southside has launched intramural sports as our elementary schools compete against one another in soccer, basketball, volleyball, flag football, and track. Southside High School volleyball coach Jessica Cardenas is the district’s intramural coordinator. “This is an opportunity for our young athletes to learn the fundamentals of the sports we offer. It also brings the community together and allows our community to see what activities are offered here at Southside,” Coach Cardenas said. Students interested in playing intramural sports should contact their campus principal or campus coach. The soccer games will be played at the Southside High School soccer fields on the following dates:
