The University of the Incarnate Word, the San Antonio Food Bank, and Community Labs have made an all-out effort to help the Southside ISD community from COVID-19.
On Saturday, March 13, UIW nursing and medical students registered families for a mass vaccination clinic to be held on Saturday, April 10. Up to 1,000 first-dose vaccines will be given that day at Southside High School. The registrations were taken while families waiting in line to receive food from the San Antonio Food Bank. Additionally, Community Labs personnel arrived to administer COVID testing to students, staff, and families.
“We are truly grateful that our partners at UIW, the San Antonio Food Bank, and Community Labs are here to help our community,” said Southside ISD Superintendent Mr. Rolando Ramirez.
