Matthey Middle School lead math teacher Mr. Israel Del Valle has been named the 2021 Southside Independent School District Teacher of the Year. Earlier this year, Mr. Del Valle had been named Matthey Middle School Teacher of the Year. For his outstanding accomplishments, Del Valle received a $3000 award and a trophy.
