(San Antonio, TX) – Thursday, November 20, 2020, inside a newly decorated and painted board room, the SISD Board of Managers officially accepted a check of $100,000 thanks to a grant and the generous support of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas. Toyota granted the money to the Southside ISD Education Foundation to help address the “digital divide.” Because of the great need in the Southside area to access WiFi and internet signals the Foundation immediately released the monies so that the school district can use the designated funds to buy technology to help close the digital barriers students and staff face in the district.
