Cardinal Spotlight Week of November 2: Southside High School

Ms. Arredondo is an extraordinary teacher with a positive attitude and high expectations. She teaches the Criminal Justice classes as well as runs the Police Explorer post at the High School. Having come to the high school from the district police force she not only brings knowledge of law enforcement but knowledge of the district as a whole. In her efforts, she has had her Police Explorers in her Practicum class help direct traffic at both Losoya and Pearce over the last couple of years which has helped her students gain first-hand knowledge and real-world experience in the field. Her Police Explorer group has also been very successful in competitions over the years placing at several contests.

As a cadet here at Southside AFJROTC, she has logged over 70+ hours of community service. She ensures she gives back to society as she is active in community work through her church, the San Antonio Police Department, and the local chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Affairs. Cadet Arredondo has served in multiple leadership roles and was an integral part of the cadet leadership here at Southside HS. Additionally, Cadet Arredondo is very involved in extra-curricular/co-curricular activities and the leadership of those teams for AFJROTC.
