Mrs. Sance is the ultimate team player. She works hard and goes along with the team plan. Once the team has agreed, she moves forward with what needs to be done. It is evident she has a great rapport with students and staff. The high school marked the best attendance this past month. That is very hard to do at the secondary level. On Friday after a long day at work Mrs. Sance made time to go cheer on our boys at Floresville. Way to go Mrs. Sance!
Senior, Angel De La Rosa, is a shining star in SHS’s Conjunto Los Cardenales. As an accordionist and vocalist, he started performing with the group as an 8th grade student at Matthey MS. He is a dedicated musician and never hesitates to take on a challenge musically. He has led the group at district/campus events, San Antonio’s Tejano/Conjunto Festival, Brownsville’s HS Conjunto Competition and performances throughout San Antonio, as well as, performing with the SHS Mariachi at Fiesta and being chosen to perform at a Magik Theater’s concert for charity. He currently performs professionally with conjunto group “Puro Corazon”. His star is on the rise! Keep up the good work, Angel!
