Cardinal Spotlight Week of October 5: Freedom Elementary School

1004-5

Blanca Chapa is one of our bilingual teachers who was one of our original two-way bilingual teachers at Freedom Elementary when we began the program in 2010. She has been an advocate for the program and supportive of her students throughout the years. Her passion for teaching and the ways she develops relationships with her students and their parents have been influential in the success of the students. She’s served in leadership roles at the campus as a grade-level chairperson, member of the Lighthouse Team, member of the curriculum writing team, and has been a presenter at Bilingual conferences at Region 20, La Cosecha, and district parent training. We are proud of her dedication to our students and our Freedom family!

Fourth Grader Madalynn Navarro is definitely a go-getter! She loves learning and is a positive influence on others around her. No matter the situation, you see Maddy up for the challenge. In fact, she has been a stellar student during virtual learning. Her teacher says, “She is always on time, always participating in class, volunteering to read, and always helping fellow classmates!” She was one of our student leaders last year and we know she will continue to do great things. Great Job Madalynn!
