Online & At-Home Instruction will continue through the end of the school year 2019-2020

Dear Southside Familes,

The Governor of Texas issued several Executive Orders, April 17, 2020. One order was to continue to keep Texas schools closed through the remainder of the school year, which means online learning will continue.

Families, we are counting on your help to keep students engaged and learning. Online and in-home instruction will continue to be available daily. If you need a chrome book or hotspot please fill out a form by clicking here.

We recognize the extension of remote learning and the economic issues the COVID-19 pandemic has created are a burden on families.  Please reach out to us for any needs that we can help address at communicationsdep@southsideisd.org. For academic needs, contact your child’s teachers and campus administrators.  For counseling needs please visit southsideisd.org or click here.

Regarding graduation for the Class of 2020, we will have more information on graduation at a later date.

We are all in this together. SISD curbside meals and tech support will continue through this closure. We are working to make sure meals will be available in the summer. As soon as that is confirmed we will let you know. For now, we are happy to report that meals will be including supper at curbside pick-up.

If there are any updates we will have them on our website and social media pages. We are also texting parents and calling when necessary.
