Growing number of companies giving to Southside ISD schools

Two Heritage Elementary School second grade students join teacher Ms. Jessica Delgado, Ground Effects shift supervisor Gabriel Bielmas, principal Ms. Elise Puente, and Ground Effects Human Resources Director Bobbi Newman.

Ground Effects, a company which sprays on bedliners for Toyota Tundras, is now among a growing list of companies helping to support Southside ISD students. Ground Effects donated $2000 to Heritage Elementary. School principal Ms. Elise Puente says she plans to use the funds to help boost student literacy. In addition to Ground Effects, San Antonio Freight, Amerigroup, Stephens Roofing, WellMed, and Castro Community Insurance Agency have all recently made significant donations to Southside ISD. Ground Effects human resources director Bobbi Newman says the company chose Southside ISD because it wanted to have an immediate and positive impact on the district’s children. Additionally, some parents of Southside ISD students are employed at Ground Effects.
