(San Antonio, TX) – On December 3, 2019, hundreds of Southside ISD students took part in the 5th Annual Spanish Spelling Bee at Southside High School. The students from grades 3rd to 12th cheered and squealed as the excitement and intense competition dramatically unfolded on stage. Here are the winners!

2nd: Jeremy Vasquez–Matthey M.S. 7th
3rd: Leslie Escobar–Losoya M.S.6th
9th-12th:
1st: Francisco Vasqquez IV–11th SHS
2nd: Emmanuel Nambo Tranquillino–9th SHS
3rd: Kathy Elizabeth Silva–11th SHS
1st Place winners will compete at the Regional competition @ ESC 20 on February 11th.
