If you’re looking to give back this holiday season, the Kym Rapier Food Pantry in the Southside ISD could use your help. Organizers have released the holiday food distribution schedule to serve families who live within the Southside ISD. Volunteers are needed at the Pearce Elementary food pantry at 7:30 AM on the following days:

  • Saturday, November 23
  • Saturday, November 30
  • Saturday, December 21

This is the holiday season when the needs are greatest. An estimated 1,200 people are receiving food monthly from the food pantry.

If your organization would like to volunteer or donate non-perishable food items such as oats, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, pasta, beans, tuna and rice, please contact Director of Public Relations Mr. Randy Escamilla at 210-882-1600 EXT. 5125 or email randy.escamilla@southsideisd.org.

The District asks that anyone coming for food live within the Southside ISD. Non-district residents should contact the San Antonio Food Bank to find the food pantry nearest their home.
