Dear Menchaca Parents/Guardians,
We thank you for your patience and understanding these past couple weeks. We worked closely with district administration, Southside ISD (SISD) Police, and the SISD Transportation Department to address some of the concerns we encountered at Menchaca. We have listened to parents’ concerns and have made adjustments to accommodate better start times for our students beginning September 3, 2019. The changes are effective starting Tuesday following the Labor Day Holiday. On September 3, 2019, the new start times for Menchaca Early Childhood Center will be as follows:

| Doors open at | 7:10 a.m. | 7:10 a.m. |
| Doors close at | 7:25 a.m. | 7:25 a.m. |
| Instructional time begins | 7:30 a.m. | 7:30 a.m. |
| Tardy bell | 7:40 a.m. | 7:40 a.m. |
| Dismissal time | 2:25 p.m. | 2:45 p.m. |
** Buses will depart no later than 3:00 p.m.
Once again, beginning on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 students will be starting school at 7:30 a.m. and released from school at 2:25 p.m. for Pre-K and 2:45 p.m. for Kindergarten.
