Great news for teachers in the Southside ISD. The new school year has just started and all teachers and staff are getting a pay raise. The starting pay for teachers in the Southside Independent School District is increasing immediately from $52,000 a year to $54,500.
Tonight, the Southside ISD Board of Managers approved the 2019-2020 Budget which includes a salary increase for all employees:
- Teachers, Nurses, Librarians, and Counselors-Increase approximately 5.6 percent
- Bus Drivers-Increase is 4 percent + Step
- *All other employees-Increase is 4 percent of the Pay Grade Mid-Point
Southside ISD has approximately 800 employees who are set to receive the pay increase beginning with their first paycheck in September.
The total student enrollment at Southside ISD is fast approaching 6,000 students.
