Southside ISD students’ artwork featured at Mission Espada Park

It’s called Arbol de La Vida: Memorias y Voces de la Tierra (Tree of Life: Memories and Voices of the Earth) and located at Mission Espada Park. Ten Southside ISD students created pottery displays that are featured along with 690 art pieces. The project took two years to complete. Arbol de la Vida is a massive community public art sculpture honoring and celebrating the UNESCO World Heritage Site; Mission San Francisco de la Espada as part of the San Antonio tricentennial.
