Southside ISD partner Eagles Flight Advocacy’s Pamela Allen honored the district’s grandparents for their service raising grandchildren.Southside ISD’s Grandparents Raising Grandchildren were invited to a special meeting Thursday, April 18, at Menchaca Early Childhood Center. The meeting was organized by district partner, Eagles Flight Advocacy and its director Pamela Allen. Pamela assembled more than two dozen gift baskets and bags she made for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren being raised in the district. Ms. Allen shared that she, too, is a grandparent raising grandchildren and knows the struggles grandparents face as they take on raising a small child. Grandparents received Easter gift baskets for children of all ages. Additionally, Ms. Allen prepared specially-prepared gift baskets of products the grandmothers can enjoy.
