The first Southside ISD students to earn a certification in phlebotomy were honored by the Board of Managers. The students are part of the health careers program at Southside High School and have the opportunity to earn certifications in at least six other medical fields. The certification is significant because it already gives Southside students an advantage over other students planning a career in the medical field.
