Letter from the Superintendent Regarding November 2018 Bond

Dear Cardinal Family,

The Southside ISD Bond initiative on the ballot for November 6 did not pass. However, we will continue to work hard for opportunities to improve student achievement. We know there’s a direct correlation between extracurricular activities and academic success. We will continue to do all we can to make certain we prepare our students to compete academically and in extra-curricular activities. As a school district, we need our community to join us to achieve this goal.

We also recognize we need to do a better job communicating with all of our stakeholders. That is why moving forward, Southside ISD will communicate more about the efforts we are making when it comes to projects and initiatives. We are listening.

In the meantime, we are motivated more than ever to support the success of our students and their academics. We will continue to share with you all the great things happening here at Southside. Stay tuned for more exciting ventures as we continue Soaring to Excellence.
