Come check out “Got Vote” art work from students at SISD Central Office lawn and the entrance of the main campus near Southside HS. Losoya teacher Alicia San Miguel says the students’ assignment was to create a poster encouraging civic participation. This was from the TEKS Resource System Curriculum. She says the lesson, “just happened to align.” These civic participation posters came from all of her classes. Students in the 1st, 3rd, and 7th grades and her 6th Grade World Cultures classes. Students from her 4th, 5th, and 6th are in San Miguel’s Pre-AP World Cultures classes. The art work will be featured from now until Nov. 9th, 2018. Election Day is November 6th!
