October is breast cancer awareness month. At Southside ISD, employees and students are encouraged to wear pink during the month of October in support of people who are fighting or have fought against breast cancer. Southside High School held its pink out in October so students and fans could stand up for breast cancer awareness. Southside ISD is supportive of this cause.
