(San Antonio) – Tuesday, August 28th, Ms. Gloria Davis was surprised by Fox 29’s Ernie Zuniga. She was nominated by her peers on social media. KABB brought Ms. Davis four boxes of tacos for their “Teacher Taco Tuesday” segment on Fox San Antonio, where every week a teacher is nominated by peers and the community for outstanding work in the classroom and the community.
This summer many people credited Ms. Davis for going above and beyond after hearing that a co-worker’s home burned to the ground. She spent the summer helping them recover with food, clothes and services. Many of the items were purchased by herself and she dedicated many hours of her personal time to help them clean up. Now this is a perfect example of Southside’s teachers…. Soaring to Excellence.
