Attention Southside Cardinals and Mission Del Lago community members;
Great news! Construction on the parking lot at Gallardo Elementary WILL be completed for the first day of school on August 28th here at Southside ISD. Breakfast will be served at 7:15.a.m. – 7:30 a.m. The tardy bell will ring at 7:40 a.m. On the first day of school, we will have many excited students and parents so we recommend that you get there early.
The improvements to the parking area will be making traffic flow easier for everyone. Safety is our number one priority and we will be there for you Monday guiding and directing traffic. The process for pick-up and drop-off at Gallardo Elementary will be very similar. The upgrades will allow everyone to get in and out faster and safer. We know the Mission Del Lago community will also see a vast improvement with these upgrades.
Any questions regarding the traffic flow or campus first day activities should be directed to Karen Feldman, principal of Gallardo Elementary. We have attached a map with the traffic flow routes.
Southside ISD and Gallardo Elementary are ready for a great year of learning. We look forward to seeing you on Monday, rain or shine!
