On Saturday June 3, Southside Police Explorers shined bright as they represented Southside High School with pride & integrity! They competed in several events at the 1st Annual Leon Valley Police Department Jr. Police Explorer competition. They competed with the best teams in the city. We were one of only five local high schools invited to compete.
*Haley Caballero: placed 3rd in Female Physical Fitness Competition
*Chance Squires, Cody Shuler, Marissa Guillen, & Selena Lucio placed 1st in Misdemeanor Traffic Stop.
For many of our explorers, it was their first time competing. Southside HS Criminal Justice teacher Melissa Arredondo says “I am very proud of them, they gained a lot more experience today with real life scenarios. The police explorers work hard and always give their best!”
