Congratulations to Angel Elizondo for qualifying placing 3rd in the Long Jump yesterday at the Area Meet in Corpus Christi. He will now compete at the Region 4 meet this Friday at Alamo Stadium.
The Men’s 400 meter relay placed 3rd and will qualified to compete at the Region 4 track meet. The relay team also set a new school record by running 43.49 seconds in the event. The relay team members consist of Paul Maldonado, Eddie Perez Jr, Matt Collier, and Erik Luna.
On the Women’s side we would like to congratulate Amanda Esparza for placing 1st in the 400 meters, 2nd in the 200 meters, and 3rd in the 100 meters. Amanda also set a new school record in the 400 meters by running the event in 58.37 seconds. She will compete in all 3 events at the Region 4 Track meet.
