You are invited to the 1st annual Bike rodeo for Southside ISD at the Wellness Extravaganza on Saturday March 25, at 8:00 a.m. til 10:00 a.m..
This is a one day district wide event, which emphasizes bike safety and rider competence. The bike rodeo is designed to get children active, increase safety, and reduce the risk of injury as children travel to and from school through quality education. Top boys and girls winners will get a chance at a brand new bike.
To make sure that we have time to allow every child who wants to participate in the bike rodeo, all signed permission slips must be turned into Officer Cardenas at Freedom Elementary or Officer Garcia at Southside High School by Friday March 3.
On the day of the bike rodeo, Officer Garcia and Officer Cardenas will conduct a bike inspection looking at the condition of each bike.
